MANRRS offers a variety of opportunities for members to learn, compete, and showcase their skills through signature programs, research presentations, and contests. From immersive experiences like the Animal Health and Care Academy, to the Regional Cluster Research Symposium and competitions at the Annual Training Conference & Career Expo, our programs are designed to expand career pathways, highlight member talent, and connect participants with industry leaders.
Through hands-on learning, skill-building, and professional networking, MANRRS empowers members to explore new opportunities, share their expertise, and advance in their academic and professional journeys.

Participants must:
- Be an Independent Member or a member of a MANRRS chapter in good standing.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Be eligible and available to travel for a one-week experiential learning program.
1. Program Objective
Participants are expected to actively engage in learning and applying advanced technologies — particularly AI, data science, and digital tools — to address real-world agricultural challenges.
2. Core Focus Areas
Students will concentrate their learning and project work within the following areas:
- Data science and predictive analytics
- Digital agriculture, IoT, and precision systems
- Software development and ag-tech applications
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning for agricultural systems
3. Participation Expectations
To successfully complete the track, students must:
- Attend and actively participate in all workshops focused on AI and emerging technologies in agriculture
- Engage fully in coding boot camps and digital transformation sessions
- Collaborate in team-based hackathons to design innovative ag-tech solutions
- Meet regularly with assigned mentors from technology and innovation sectors
- Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and accountability throughout the program
4. Capstone Requirement
Each participant (or team) must complete a capstone project that designs and presents a technology-driven solution to a defined agricultural challenge. Final projects should demonstrate practical application of the tools and concepts learned during the program.
Successful completion of the SMART Academy Track requires consistent engagement, collaboration, and a commitment to innovation in agriculture.
